Finding all hidden treasures in Red Dead Redemption 2 requires patience and a keen eye for remote locations scattered across the frontier. Among the most mysterious collectibles are the torn map pieces, which must be combined to reveal a hidden stash containing unique rewards. Locating the second piece of the torn treasure map brings players face to face with a hostile hermit in the far northeastern region of the map.
Where to Find Torn Treasure Map 2
The second piece of the torn treasure map is hidden inside a small residence located at Manito Glade in the Roanoke Ridge region. Players can find this isolated cabin east of Meteor Mound and north of Annesburg. Upon approaching the cabin, an aggressive male hermit will emerge to defend his property.
Defeating or subduing the hermit allows players to explore the interior of his home safely. The torn map piece is stored inside a nightstand drawer near the bed. Additionally, players should make sure to claim the hermit's unique weapon, the Rare Shotgun, before leaving the area.
Combining the Map Pieces
Once you acquire both halves of the torn map, they automatically combine in your inventory to form the Mended Map. The first half is located at a hermit woman's cabin near the Little Creek River in West Elizabeth. Having both pieces is necessary to read the complete map and pinpoint the exact coordinates of the final reward.
It is important to note that while both map pieces can be retrieved early in the game during Chapter 2, the final location cannot be accessed right away. The treasure itself is located in New Austin, a region locked to players until they reach the Epilogue.
Solving the Mended Map Location
The completed Mended Map points toward a hidden cave located in New Austin. Specifically, players must travel to a small cave opening situated just west of Twin Rocks in the northern edge of Cholla Springs. Navigating inside the cave leads directly to a concealed chest tucked away in the rock formations.
Opening the chest rewards players with a collection of collectible erotic photographs and Otis Miller's Revolver. This golden revolver is a powerful weapon that adds significant value to your weapon compendium and overall completion progress.
